Talk to Them, Not About Them
You're wasting time.
Not because you're lazy. Not because you don't care. In fact, it's almost always the opposite. You care so much that you find yourself talking about it endlessly.
Talking about the problem. Talking about the behavior. Talking about how uncomfortable you are. Talking about how much you wish they wouldn't do what they did. Talking to your friend, your coach, your partner, your dog.
And here is the thing most leaders never say out loud: the reason we talk about instead of talk to is because we genuinely don't know how to do it in a way that feels confident. We haven't learned it. Nobody taught us. And so we avoid it, or we spiral, or we vent to everyone in the room except the one person the conversation belongs to.
I don't want to tell you it gets easy. Honestly, I'd be suspicious of any leader who told me direct conversations with their people were a breeze. If it stops costing you anything, it probably means you've disconnected from the humanness of what you do. That matters.
But I do believe there is a simpler way. A more elegant way. A way that replaces the hours spent processing, venting, and seeking validation from others with one real conversation with the right person.
Because here is the truth: you can know everything about how to make money, how to get clients, how to convert leads, how to keep the lights on. All of that matters. But the most vital element of leading a successful business is how well you communicate with the people you have hired to deliver a result. When you and your managers can't do that, it doesn't just slow the company down. It shapes the culture. It creates a bottleneck that no strategy or system can clear.
Talking to instead of about is a skill. And it is one you can learn.
Not in a way that feels clinical or corporate. In a way that is simple, direct, and still deeply human.
And I also know this: when you are not talking to them, you are thinking about them. Constantly. Replaying it. Rehearsing it. Carrying it everywhere you go. That is exhausting. And the fastest way out of that loop is not more processing. It is action. But action taken with clarity and intention, not just courage.
That is exactly what I built for you.
I literally wrote the book on how to think about and communicate with difficult people in difficult circumstances. And from that work I created something short and precise. A handful of focused modules that walk you through exactly how to think about the situation, how to prepare for the conversation, and how to actually have it. Step by step. No guessing.
This is a limited release, open through end of day Thursday. A small number of spots have been released and when they're gone, that's it. You will not find this anywhere else.
I really hope you check it out. I genuinely believe it will change everything for you.
